Home is about a young boy from a small apartment in a big city who dreams about the different places people live. The boy goes out on an adventure to visit many types of houses – from an igloo to a farm to a lake house – and meets families wherever he goes. The boy enjoys visiting each residence, but at the conclusion of his trip, he comes to a realization. It is not the size or type of home that makes it a good place to live. It is about the people you live with, family, that makes your home great.
100% of the proceeds from Home will go to Building Foundations and Dreams, the charity Mr. Bailey founded that strives to assist underserved students of all ages in pursuing their dreams.
Adam Leitman Bailey is an award-winning and New York Times best-selling author who also balances being the father of two young children.
As a parent raising children in an apartment in “the big, big city” and as an owner of several properties, Mr. Bailey was inspired – and uniquely placed – to write about homes in a way that is relatable to children.
In 2017, Mr. Bailey was also named Humanitarian of the Year by a local high school for his charitable efforts. A lifetime believer in giving back to the community and a fundamental leader in supporting and educating children within the community, Mr. Bailey has helped to provide college scholarships, facilitate youth mentoring, combat bullying, provide paid internships, give history tours and inspirational speeches to students at local schools, as well as support hospital research into tackling life threatening children’s illnesses and neurological diseases. Mr. Bailey hopes his contribution to the charity will assist more children in realizing their dreams.
